I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
